This drop-off class is the perfect place for curious 3–5-year-olds to imagine, explore, and grow—all on their own! Karate Kid's Night OutKarateAges 7 - 11 Parents, drop your kids off for a Karate Kid’s Night Out and have a night out yourself while they burn energy! The class will include karate basics, group games and activities, and will include some free time for playing in the open gymnasium. There will be a break around 6:30pm, so please pack something for your child to eat (no food provided). The evening will end with a guided relaxation to wind down from the high energy activities. Kathak Dance with Shilpi ChatterjeeBharathanatyam & Kathak DanceJoin Katha Dance Theatre (KDT) to learn non-verbal communication through the classical storytelling dance of India, Kathak. Using graceful movements, meaningful hand gestures, facial expressions, intricate footwork, multiple spins, and music, students will learn how to tell a story! The goal is to provide participants with a new and enjoyable experience that enables them to be creative, physically active, and exposed to a new culture in a comfortable and supportive environment. This class is designed for beginner level dancers. She has received awards at many district-level dance competitions in India and showcased her talents with the Bengali Association of Minnesota. In 2021, she earned the Jury Award at the Urvashi Dance, Music, Art, and Culture Society's international talent competition. Kindergarten (26-27 SY) This class is intended for athletes who will be in Kindergarten for the upcomign school year (26-27') and are ready to learn the basics in cheerleading! This class will teach entry skills such as motions, jumps, dance and crowd leading work. During the season we will work on sideline cheers and work to prepare a mini routine for the Lakeville Invite. A parent email will be sent out a couple weeks prior to the start date of practice with all important information regarding practice attire, apparel and team expecations for the season.
