Welcome to Community Education Aquatics The Community Education Aquatics and Safety program provides a wide range of swimming opportunities in the areas of instruction, recreation, fitness and safety certifications for infant through adult students in the Lakeville area and beyond. Our program offers year-round instruction to give you or your child a great experience in the water. Our American Red Cross (ARC) trained instructors typically teach throughout the year, so you can count on seeing the same high-quality instructor at each lesson and session. NEW! Bharatanatyam and Kathak Classical Dance LessonsAll Ages Lakeville Community Education is excited to partner with local dance instructors to offer Bharatanatyam and Kathak classical dance courses for all ages. These ancient classical dance forms come from India, and are known for their detailed hand gestures, called mudras, disciplined footwork and facial expressions. Bharatanatyam & Kathak Dances will encourage students to work on focus, self development, positivity and confidence. These two dance forms are derived from spiritual practices, but are being taught only as cultural and classical dance art form through this program. These classes are open to all students in the community, and all are welcome to join! Bharatanatyam Dance Discover the timeless art of Bharatanatyam, classical Indian dance forms that seamlessly blend storytelling, expression, rhythm, and devotion. Through engaging lessons, you will: Explore the foundational postures and basic hand gestures. Learn rhythmic footwork and their coordination with rhythm. Understand the role of expressions in conveying emotions and narratives. Aspirants grow into an individual artist with confidence and body conditioning to appreciate the aesthetics and pursue any dance form! Whether you are a beginner or a dance enthusiast, this class will guide you through the basics while cultivating an appreciation for one of India’s most revered art forms. Join us to embark on a journey that celebrates tradition, grace, and rhythm! Kathak Dance Join Katha Dance Theatre (KDT) to learn non-verbal communication through the classical storytelling dance of India, Kathak. Using graceful movements, meaningful hand gestures, facial expressions, intricate footwork, multiple spins, and music, students will learn how to tell a story! The goal is to provide participants with a new and enjoyable experience that enables them to be creative, physically active, and exposed to a new culture in a comfortable and supportive environment.

Community Education Children's Theater Partner

Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) is a Lakeville Area School District Community Education program that strengthens families with young children through education and support. ECFE provides parent-child interaction activities and parent education for families with children birth-5.

Have some FUN before or after school! Each class offered changes curriculum from the previous session. Students can register for classes at a school they do not attend, but transportation is the parent’s responsibility.

Lakeville Gymnastics is a three-component program to serve all of your gymnastics needs from beginner to high school. We’ve teamed up to offer this comprehensive program which gives continuity to the skills all gymnasts learn, preparing those who wish to go on to compete in advanced and high school levels. Kid Zone is a before and after school program offered at each elementary school, which provides care and enrichment opportunities to children in kindergarten through 5th grade.

Lakeville Cheerleading is proud to serve almost 200 athletes each season, and is available to all students grades K-12. Offering introductory and recreation cheerleading to local and national level competition teams, Lakeville Cheerleading strives to meet students where they are at while providing a fun and safe environment to learn the sport of cheerleading. In addition to our competitive teams, we also offer sideline cheerleading for our two high school football teams, and other sports as requested. This year-long program offers students the chance to improve their athletic skills, coordination, teamwork and confidence. Camp Small Wonders is a summer school program filled with a variety of themes and adventures that will fill your summer full of memories. Come discover the “fun” in learning.

Calling all kids, entering grades 1-6 Experience our Summer Adventures care and enrichment program for children entering grades 1-6 for children in Lakeville Area Schools and the surrounding area! Our program offers a variety of fun activities, learning experiences and exciting adventures. Breakfast, lunch and snack are provided Mondays through Thursdays, as well as breakfast and snack on Fridays. Summer Adventures fits your schedule! Families can participate full time or part time throughout the summer. Choose five days a week or less, every week throughout the summer or only the weeks needed.

Entering Grades 6-8 The DEN is a summer middle school program for students entering grades 6-8 that will offer your child the chance to build socialization skills, experience their local community, use their creative and academic brain throughout the summer and have fun in a safe welcoming environment. The DEN is open Monday-Thursday from 8 am-4:30 pm beginning June 8 through August 13 (closed the week of June 29 - July 3). Don't Miss Out On: Open Swim at Blanchard Aquatic Center, every week! Wonder Zone is a child care program for preschool children 3 to 6 years of age (by September 1). The Wonder Zone program is part of Lakeville Area Schools Community Education and collaborates with Small Wonders Preschool to offer a full day of learning and fun. Wonder Zone focuses on social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth through enriching activities.
