Black Squad - Elementary Exhibition Cheer TeamElementaryWelcome to Black Squad! Grades: 5–6 (2026–2027 School Year) Our most advanced recreational elementary cheer team for athletes in grades 5–6! This squad bridges the gap between beginner-level cheer and our Elementary Competitive teams. It’s the perfect place for athletes ready to level up their skills without the full commitment of competition cheer. Designed to build confidence and technique, this team will focus on foundational elements of a traditional cheer routine, including: Jumps Tumbling (beginner/intermediate) Stunting basics Team synchronization and formations While competitive in spirit, BLACK SQUAD remains recreational in structure, with a lighter practice and event schedule, making it ideal for athletes eager to improve in a supportive environment. The team will showcase their progress at 3–4 local exhibitions throughout the season. These fun, low-pressure events allow athletes to perform in front of an audience and celebrate their growth as a team. Note: Strong attendance is key to team success! Consistent practice participation helps athletes build trust, timing, and skills together. There are two registration options: New – for athletes who do not have a uniform. Returner – for athletes who purchased a uniform last year that still fits. All of our recreational teams wear the same uniforms, so families don’t need to buy a new one each year if it still fits. Elementary One Day Cheer ClinicClinicsCome join the fun at our cheerleading clinic designed just for younger athletes and teams! You’ll get to try out stunting, learn fun motions, practice cheers, and even give low-level tumbling a go. The fee includes a super cool T-shirt, a cute hair bow, and lunch. Kindercats Cheer TeamElementaryWelcome to Lakeville Cheer! Kindergarten (26-27 SY) This class is intended for athletes who will be in Kindergarten for the upcomign school year (26-27') and are ready to learn the basics in cheerleading! This class will teach entry skills such as motions, jumps, dance and crowd leading work. During the season we will work on sideline cheers and work to prepare a mini routine for the Lakeville Invite. A parent email will be sent out a couple weeks prior to the start date of practice with all important information regarding practice attire, apparel and team expecations for the season. Lakeville Middle School Competition Cheer TeamMiddle SchoolMiddle School Competition Tryouts required. Practice will be fast paced and will have a heavy emphasis on stunting and tumbling. The team takes part in a skills camp during the summer, along with professional choreography (both are required). They will compete at 5-7 local competitions, perfecting their routine for the MCCA State Competition! No prior experience needed, but tryouts are required. Join our Stunt Class led by the coaches and athletes from the Lakeville Varsity Competition Cheer Team—your chance to learn from some of the best while having tons of fun. This class is all about building strong fundamentals, confidence, and teamwork through stunting. Whether you’re a base, back spot, or flyer (or want to try them all!), athletes will get hands-on experience learning proper technique, safety skills, and exciting new stunts in a supportive and energetic environment. Tumbling for Cheer – Beginner LevelLakeville CheerleadingGrades K–6 Perfect for athletes building a strong tumbling foundation, this beginner-friendly class focuses on body awareness, proper technique, strength development, and confidence on the mat. Athletes will learn and practice essential foundational skills including Forward Rolls, Cartwheels, Round-offs, and Bridges through safe, progressive drills and skill-building exercises. Designed specifically for aspiring cheerleaders who are new to tumbling, this course emphasizes proper form and the key progressions needed for long-term success. Each skill is broken down step-by-step to ensure athletes develop technique safely while gaining coordination, flexibility, and confidence. Classes are led by certified cheer coaches who specialize in teaching foundational tumbling in a positive, encouraging environment.
