Team Goals for the 2026-2027 Season:
Tryout Tips: Learning ALL material and ability to perform it at tryouts is a must for team placement (this will help us determine if athletes are ready for this level). We are looking for hard hitting motions, good technique, and loud voices, but one of the most important things is a positive attitude and willingness to work hard and never give up! Practice makes perfect! If you make a mistake keep going and smile through it!
Please Note: for this team to be successful there is a high level of commitment needed from the athlete and family. Please make sure you consider this before trying out for this team.
- Competitive Season: May 12 - Early February
- Practice: Tuesdays & Thursdays 5:30-7:30 pm
- At this level we are looking for soft skills such as: strong communication skills, excellent leadership in the program, positive attitude, strong work ethic in and out of practice, and the ability to work well with others.
- Cheerleaders are expected to practice individual skills and routine counts on their own outside of practice.
- 1-2 years of cheerleading experience or equivalent level training is preferred.

Alyssa Grythe

Hi! I’m Coach Alyssa, and I’m excited to be joining Lakeville Cheerleading as a coach this season! This is my fourth year coaching. I began my coaching career as a sideline coach at Woodbury while in college, and then went on to coach at East Ridge for the past two years.
My cheer journey began at Woodbury Senior High, where I was a Varsity cheerleader, and continued during my freshman year at the University of St. Thomas. These experiences deepened my love for the sport and the spirit of teamwork it inspires.
Cheerleading has taught me the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and confidence—values I strive to pass on to my athletes. I love bringing high energy to competitions and thrive in big crowd environments. My goal as a coach is to create a positive, fun, and competitive environment where athletes can grow in skill, spirit, and self-belief.
I can’t wait to see this team grow—on and off the mat!

This is her first year coaching and she can't wait to see what this year holds!
